Sympathetic joy, the third immeasurable

This week’s Dharma Talk is entitled Sympathetic joy, the third immeasurable by Eric Weinberg.

Sympathetic joy is the delight we feel when good happens for someone else. Lets talk about how we can cultivate it when our unhappiness always seems to get in the way of sympathetic joy. Buddha taught, that by cultivating the four Immeasurables, we not only develop limitless love but undo what the Buddha called their “near enemies”: indifference, pity, envy, and jealousy.
