Now that we have heard the teaching on Cultivating Bodhichitta, what steps will we take to realize these principles in our daily lives? After a short summary talk, we will discuss how we really feel about the Bodhisattva path, and the steps we wish to take to get closer to our goal.
Lama Tom Broadwater – Shantidevas “Way of the Bodhisattva,” Chapter Four. In this chapter Shantideva writes about carefulness as it relates to our maintaining Bodhicitta…the mind and heart of awakening as expressed in our vow to awaken for the benefit of all beings. Shantideva emphasizes the need never to abandon our aspiration and the dangers we face should if we tottally abandon it once we have assumed this vow. Lama Tom reads the chapter, and provides a brief explanation. At the end of the talk Lama Tom allows time for questions and comments.
