Friday Night Public Talk, March 1st
Healing Through Meditation
Lama Karma will explore how we can use meditation to discover our own strength and potential to heal ourselves, and how finding that same potential in others can be a source of confidence, respect and security.
Saturday and Sunday Teaching, March 2nd and 3rd
Aspiring to Awakening: Reciting The Mahamudra Lineage Prayer
Lama Karma’s teaching will be on a short and simple prayer, written centuries ago and recited daily by Buddhists all over the world, that is both a powerful aspiration toward enlightenment, and a framework for our practice of meditation. The program will cover topics including Buddhist ethics, compassion, devotion and Mahamudra meditation.
Sessions of meditation, recitation of the prayer and questions and answers will be included.
Saturday Refuge Vow Ceremony and the Empowerment of Green Tara
Saturday afternoon, Lama Karma will offer the Ceremony of the Buddhist Refuge Vow, accepting aspiring students as followers of the Buddha, practitioners of the Buddha’s path and members of Buddha’s community, or sangha.
Those interested in Refuge should contact Lama Kathy Wesley for an orientation booklet by emailing her at lamakathy108@gmail.com.
Empowerment Change!
Due to a last-minute change, Lama Karma Drodhul will offering the Green Tara empowerment, rather than the Vajrasattva empowerment during his visit to Columbus this week. The empowerment will be offered, along with the Refuge Vow Ceremony, starting at 2:30 pm Saturday March 2 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Road, Columbus.
Columbus KTC apologizes for any inconvenience, and invites everyone to come and partake of the blessing of the feminine aspect of compassion. Tara.

About Lama Karma Drodhul
Lama Karma serves as the President of our home monastery, Karma Triyana Dharmachakra. As a youth, Lama Karma excelled in all aspects of dharma study and Thrangu Rinpoche sent him to the U. S. to deepen his understanding of the dharma under the tutelage of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. In March 2004, Lama Karma completed his first, and in February 2008 his second, traditional three-year, three-month retreat under Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche at Karme Ling Retreat Center.
