Our daily lives are full of busy-ness – work responsibilities, family needs and more – and we are very much in need of silence and calm.
This one-day retreat will cover the basics of meditation for beginners and help intermediate practitioners expand and grow their practice.
Periods of quiet sitting will be interspersed with advice about how to use the fruits of meditation – mindfulness and alertness – in everyday life.
Lama Kathy also will share a teaching on the Nine Stages of Shamatha – guideposts for tracking our progress in the practice.
Participants should bring a vegetarian sack lunch for the noon meal break.
