Be Part of the Columbus KTC Vision Workshop
Many organizations develop a mission, vision and value statements to help them identify purpose, direction and underlying values. Currently, Columbus KTC has a Mission Statement and a Value Statement (along with an Inclusion Statement) but no Vision Statement. Now that construction of our new home is complete and we are settling in, we need your help to brainstorm what KTC will become over the next five years and beyond.
Please attend the Vision Workshop on the evening of September 8th either in person at the KTC community room or join remotely via zoom.
To prepare for this workshop, here is some information about mission, vision and value planning and what to expect when you attend this gathering.
Let’s start with a few definitions.
- The mission statement communicates the purpose of the organization.
- The vision statement provides insight into what the organization hopes to achieve or become in the future.
- The values statement reflects the organization’s core principles and ethics.
So now that you have some context about how the vision statement fits into the overall structure, here are a few questions that will be discussed during the first part of the workshop:
- Where are we going moving forward?
- What do we want to achieve in the future?
- What kind of future community do we envision?
During the second part of the workshop, here are the next set of questions to consider and be discussed:
- What type of programs would you like to see at KTC?
- What type of community building activities would you like to see at KTC?
- What type of community outreach activities would you like KTC to be part of?
- What type of staffing should KTC budget for?
We can’t wait to hear your responses and ideas! We hope you can join us!
