Embracing What Is Genuine: A Shamatha Retreat

April 14, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Distractions fill our everyday lives. Our mobile phones and social media applications are engineered to make us crave their company; we fear missing out on important happenings, news and messages and find ourselves pulled in more directions than ever before. How do we disengage distraction and take hold of what is genuinely important? We discuss the question, “How Important Is It?” and create strategies for taking back our attention and living our lives in a more conscious and wakeful way.

All are welcome

There will be a one-hour lunch break in the middle of the program; please bring a sack lunch.

Cost

Free for members; $10 donation for non-members
