“We are practicing the Medicine Buddha in order to attain states of mental and physical health or balance, not merely for our own benefit, but for the benefit of others as well…by doing these practices we actually bless the environment and all beings in that environment. ” Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche from Medicine Buddha Teachings.
Now that Lama Karma Drodhul has given the Medicine Buddha empowerment at KTC, it’s time to offer our popular Medicine Buddha Saturday workshop.
This workshop is an introduction to the Medicine Buddha prayer text (sadhana) called A Stream of Lapis Lazuli by Ven Karma Chagme Rinpoche. This practice is chanted weekly at KTD Monastery, monthly at Columbus KTC and by individuals at home. Some topics will include:
- Who is Medicine Buddha
- Features of deity practice
- Sadhana History and layout
- Learn how to visualize
- Learn Medicine Buddha’s mantra and pronunciation
We will also spend time chanting this beautiful practice for the benefit of all beings, especially those suffering at this time.
There will be breaks during this program.
Everyone is invited to attend due to Medicine Buddha’ aspirations.
