Staying in Columbus on Eclipse Day? Come and Sit with Us at KTC!
Many folks have been excited for what may be the biggest astronomical event of the year – the Total Solar Eclipse, which will occur on Monday April 8.
What folks may not know is that eclipses have a spiritual significance as well. Eclipse days are thought to magnify spiritual energies, and as such it’s recommended to meditate and accumulate virtuous actions on these days.
If you’re not traveling north of Columbus to see the eclipse, you can bring your eclipse viewing gear down to KTC from 1 PM to 4 PM for a special practice day.
The center will be open for prayer and meditation from 1 to 4 PM, with a smoke offering practice recited at 1 PM, followed by chants dedicated to Manjushri, bodhisattva of Wisdom, who is specially venerated on eclipse days.
