What does it mean to take the Refuge Vow and become a Buddhist Practitioner?
The Saturday morning program will cover the basics on why we take the Refuge Vow. After the talk and questions, Lama Kathy will offer the Refuge Vow Ceremony. The Saturday afternoon program will explain how to keep the vow, how to put together a daily practice and a Buddhist shrine.
On Sunday morning, Lama Kathy will explain the significance of the Bodhisattva Vow to free all beings from the ocean of suffering that the Buddha called “samsara.” In the afternoon session, she will give the Bodhisattva Vow and explain how to practice love and compassion in daily life and keep the vow.
This event is open to all. Pre-registration is encouraged.
