This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on America, and in remembrance, Columbus KTC will hold space for one hour during the morning of Saturday Sept. 11 for those who wish to remember the day with prayer and meditation.
The prayer service will begin at 10 AM. We will recite the King of Aspirations Prayer, as well as the Tashi Prayer and the Dedication from the Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life to accumulate merit and dedicate it to those who lost their lives in the attacks, as well as in global conflicts that have taken place since then and continue today. We also pray for all those affected by the violence of that day, and pray that minds and bodies are healed.
Prayers:
- The Tashi Prayer (usually recited before the Chenrezig practice at KTC)
- Refuge and Dedications
- The Lama Rinpochema Prayer (usually recited in place of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoché’s longevity supplication)
- The King of Aspirations
- Dedication from “The Way of the Bodhisattva”
