Our mind is central to our experience of life and death, so it makes sense to nurture our minds to experience more wakefulness and love.
As Jamgon Kontrul wrote, “There are many highly regarded instructions on how to die, but none, it is said, is more wonderful than this one.”
The Instruction Jamgon Kongtrul is describing is outlined in his book “The Great Path of Awakening, and will be the focus of this Saturday morning workshop.
We will spend the morning examining, reflecting on and finally discussing “What to do at the time of death” from Jamgon Kontrul’s Great Path of Awakening.
Whether one dies tomorrow or 70 years from now, reflection on one’s own death will lead deeper into our own practice and give us a fresh look at the aims of that practice.
Learning how to die can lead to learning how live a more meaningful life. The aim of this workshop is to lead the student in some personal reflection on how they wish to live and die.
