Making and Keeping a Buddhist Shrine Workshop

February 6, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

We all love the beauty of Buddhist shrines. But how do we create a shrine in our home – and what are the benefits of creating and keeping a shrine?

Cathy Lhamo’s workshop will explain the symbolism of the shrine, what sorts of items can be placed on one, and how tending a shrine can become part of a daily practice of cultivating mindfulness and uncovering your Buddha Nature.

Everyone – from beginners to experienced practitioners – will learn something from this workshop; being held a week before Losar (Tibetan Lunar New Year) you’ll learn about cleaning and arranging your shrine to cultivate a virtuous state of mind and benefit all beings.
