The Vow of Refuge is the first step on the Buddhist path; it is how we are introduced to Buddhist faith, philosophy and practice and is our entrance on the path of liberation from Suffering. Before the ceremony Lama Kathy will give a short teaching about Refuge, followed by the vow-taking ceremony. Program begins at 1 p.m. and ends by 2:30 p.m.
All audiences, especially those interested in taking Refuge
To prepare for the ceremony, please let us know you are coming: mail@lamakathy.net
Nice to bring an offering for the shrine (flowers) and small offering for the teacher giving the ceremony. White offering scarves will be provided for those who would like to participate in the traditional Tibetan white scarf offering after the Refuge Ceremony
