Happy Losar! Please Help Support Thrangu Phende Clinic

February 14, 2020/in News/by Kirsten

During each of our annual Tibetan Buddhist holidays, it’s been a tradition of Columbus KTC to sponsor some type of community service event to benefit beings in Central Ohio and beyond.

This year, for our upcoming Losar (Tibetan New Year) holiday on February 24th, we would like to request donations for Thrangu Phende Clinic located at Namo Buddha, Nepal.

As many of you may know, Columbus KTC sponsors a student attending Thrangu Rinpoche’s school for Himalayan children in Kathmandu, Nepal. One of our students, Tsering Tamang, graduated from this school and now works part-time at Thrangu Phende Clinic.

The clinic serves many people in this remote area of Nepal who have traditionally had limited access to organized healthcare. Tsering asked if we would consider making a donation to this clinic to enable them to treat more people.

Please view this website for more information about the clinic: https://www.thranguphendeclinic.org/home-1

To participate in our KTC Losar community benefit event, please make a donation to the Thrangu Phende Clinic using one of the options listed below. Donations of all sizes – small and large – are greatly appreciated!

  • Donate by check:
